Hello world,
Words are all we sometimes have; they give us an understanding of who we are, where we stand, and whom we love.
Poetry has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. This is a window into my heart. All the walls and doors open up here. You know everything about me, all my words, my blood, the back of my hand, every hair on my head. Be kind when you hold my heart in your hands and maybe find out a thing or two about yours. I see my writing as an exercise in empathy because it has the power to make people feel less alone in their experiences. The written word has a unifying power that gives words to vague feelings you can’t really understand. It detangles webs of experience and puts it all out in front of you to be understood.
So, my question to you is this: Do you feel what I feel? Am I feeling these big feelings alone? In my experience, a voice of anguish is never a solitary one. All it takes is the right question to share emotions as a community and grow from common experience. Wanna feel anguish with me?
